Conventions
• This manual is tor DVP-CoSOD which is available in the U.S.A.,
Canada and Latin America, and tor DVP-C653D. There are
some ditterences between the models available in the U.S.A.
and Canada and those in Latin America, such as supplied
accessories or order ot the language options in the setup
displav. The illustrations used are of the models available in
the U.S.A. and Canada unless otherwise mentioned.
• Instructions in this manual describe the controls on the plaver.

Your DVD player has a region code printed on the back of the unit and will only play DVDs
that are labeled with identical region codes.

If you try to play any other DVD, the message "Playing this disc prohibited by area limits." will
appear on the TV screen.
Depending on the DVD, no region code indicatiitn m<i\- be labeled even though playing the DVD is prohibited by the area limits.
Note on playback operations of DVDs and VIDEO CDs
Some playback operations of DVDs and VIDI () CDs may be intentionally fixed by software producers. Since this player plays DVDs
and VIDEO CI.)s according to the disc contents the software producers designed, some playback features mav not be availabli'. Also
rc'fer to the instructions supplied with the DVDs or VIDEO CDs.
