TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

PROBLEM

Engine clicks but

• Loose or damaged wiring.

• Check all wiring.

• Cutting too much grass/

too fast.

• Set in “Higher CuT position/

reduce speed.

• Throttie in “CHOKE" posi­

and trash under mower.

• Clean underside of mower

housing.

• Dirty air filter.

• Ciean/replace air fiiter.

• Low oil level/dirty oil.

• Check oii level/change oii.

• Faulty spark piug.

• Clean and regap or change

spark plug.

• Dirty fuel filter.

• Replace fuel filter.

• Staie or dirty fuei.

• Drain fuel tank and refili with

fresh gasoline.

• Water in fuel.

• Drain fuel tank and carbure­

tor, refill tank with fresh gaso­

line and repiace fuel filter.

• Spark plug wire ioose.

• Connect and tighten spark

plug wire.

• Dirty engine air screen/

fins.

• Clean engine air screen/fins.

• Dirty/clogged muffler.

• Ciean/replace muffler.

• Loose or damaged wiring.

• Check all wiring.

• Carburetor out of adjust­

ment.

section.

• Engine valves out of ad­

justment.

• Contact an authorized ser­

vice center.

Excessive vibration

* Worn, bent or loose blade.

• Replace blade. Tighten biade

bolt.

• Bent blade mandrel.

• Replace blade mandrel.

• Loose/damaged part(s).

• Tighten loose part{s). Re­

place damaged parts.

Engine continues
