Changing the Flash and Red-eye Reduction Modes
Flash ON Mode

The flash fires regardless of the light conditions.
Set this mode for fill-in flash during the day, or to
soften the outline of the subject.
Flash OFF Mode
The flash will not fire even in low-light conditions.
Use this mode where flash is prohibited, for night
views, or for available-light photography.

• A slower shutter speed is set when taking pictures in
low light; be sure to hold the camera steady.
• If the orange indicator blinks to indicate camera
shake, place the camera on a steady surface or
mount it on a tripod.
