Sports Mode

This is for sports and fast-moving

subjects \A/hen you want to freeze the
action on film.

Turn the Command Dial to

• The picture-taking procedure is the

same as with the <D> Full Auto

mode on page 28.

►This automatically sets the AF mode

to < SERVO >, the film advance mode to

<Q)>, and the metering mode to
<Cs]>.

• The in-focus indicator will not light

even when focus is achieved.

^ If

the shutter speed display blinks, the shutter speed may be too slow and a

blurred picture may result due to camera shake. Using a tripod is recommended.

(The shutter speed will still blink even while a tripod is used.)

The built-in flash will not fire in this mode even while it is popped up.

-W-. Using ISO 400 or faster film is recommended.

• For sports photography, a lens with a focal length of 200 mm or 300 mm Is

recommended.
