This function is used to specify the Intel® SpeedStep™ feature.

Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings: Enabled

Intel® C-STATE tech

Modern CPUs can be put into a deeper sleeping state when idle at the cost of longer wake-up
times. This function is used to prevent the OS from putting the CPU in a deeper sleep state
than C1.

Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings: Enabled

Enhanced C-States

When the CPU is idle, the OS can put the CPU into a halt state. This function is used to ex-
change the normal halt state by the extended one that also lowers the CPU voltage.

SETTING

DESCRIPTION

Disabled

Use this setting to prevent the system from controlling the CPU frequency via the Intel®
SpeedStep™ function (GV3 technology). The CPU will run at maximum speed.

Enabled

Use this setting to allow the operating system to control the CPU speed via the Intel®
SpeedStep™ function (GV3 technology). The BIOS will start with high CPU speed.

Use this setting to prevent the OS from using any C-State except C1.

Enabled

Use this setting to allow all supported C-States.

Use this setting to enable the enhanced C1 state.

Use this setting to disable the enhanced C1 state.
