Replacing bulbs
Notes on bulb replacement
ț Only use 12-volt bulbs of the same type
and with the specified watt rating.
ț Switch lights off before changing a bulb
to prevent short circuits.
ț Always use a clean lint-free cloth when
handling bulbs.
ț Your hands should be dry and free of oil
and grease.
ț If the newly installed bulb does not light
up, visit an authorized Mercedes-Benz
Center.
ț Have the LEDs and bulbs for the follow-
ing lamps replaced by an authorized
Mercedes-Benz Center:
ț Additional turn signals in the exteri-
or rear view mirrors
ț High mounted brake lamp
ț Bi-Xenon* lamps
ț Front fog lamps
ț Rear lamps (except license plate
lamps)
ț Front side marker lamps
Replacing bulbs for front lamps
1 Housing cover for low beam halogen or
Bi-Xenon* headlamp
! Do not replace the LEDs yourself. You could
otherwise damage the LEDs or parts of the vehi-
cle. Only have the LEDs replaced by an autho-
rized Mercedes-Benz Center. Warning!

Do not remove the cover 1 for the
Bi-Xenon* headlamp. Because of high
voltage in Bi-Xenon* lamps, it is dangerous
to replace the bulb or repair the lamp and its
components. We recommend that you have
such work done by a qualified technician.
