Ascertain the payload to be fitted to the pedestal (payload = pan and tilt head, camera, lens and
any other ancillary equipment). Referring to the balance graph (Fig. 4) mark the payload on the
horizontal axis, then strike a vertical line from the load figure to the balance line. At the
intersecting point strike a horizontal line to the vertical axis and read off the required pressure.
The pedestal pressure must not exceed 7.2 bar (105 psi), check the pressure before fitting the
pan and tilt head (refer to Fitting the load on page 21 for more details).
WARNING!
DO NOT pressurise the pedestal beyond the maximum safe working
pressure indicated by the leading edge of the red sector on the gauge.
