The Voltage Valet Japan to North

America voltage converter allows 100

volt Japanese appliances to operate on

120 volt North American power sources.

Designed for use with 100 volt Japanese

motorized, electronic, or heating appli-

ances rated up to 150 watts, including:

Battery Chargers, Camcorders, Digital

Cameras, Notebook Computers, CD/

Mini Disk Players, Stereos, Electric

Shavers, Hot Rollers, Curling Irons, Oral

Hygiene Devices.

WARNING:

To reduce the risk

of burns, electrocution, fire or injury

to persons:

1. Use this converter only for its intended

use as described in this manual. Do

not use attachments not recommend-

ed by the manufacturer. Do not plug

converter into an extension cord.

2. Never operate this converter if it

has a damaged plug, if it is not work-

ing properly, if it has been dropped

or damaged, or dropped into water.

Return the converter to factory for

examination and repair.

3. Never obstruct air circulation to con-

verter.

4. Never drop or insert any object into

any openings or holes.

5. Do not use outdoors.
6. For use with 110/120 volt AC electric-

ity.

7. Converter will not work on direct

current (DC).

Operating Instructions

1. Turn off power to the receptacle

at the fuse box or circuit breaker.

2. Remove screw from receptacle cover

plate. (Do not remove cover plate).

3. Plug converter into lowest outlet.

Place screw through converter screw

ring and cover plate and tighten

screw.

4. Turn on power to receptacle.
5. Insert your appliance plug into

the converter.

Caution

1. To prevent electric shock or fire, con-

nect directly to a grounding recep-

tacle.

2. To reduce the risk of electric shock:

Disconnect power to the recepta-

cle before installing or removing the

converter. When removing receptacle

cover screw, cover may fall across

plug pins or receptacle may become

displaced.

3. Use only with 120 volt AC duplex

receptacle having center screw; and

secure unit in place with receptacle

cover screw.

4. Do not place or store converter where

it can fall or be pulled into a tub or

sink.

Year Warranty

We guarantee each new converter to

be free from defects in material or

workmanship and to perform under nor-

mal use and service. This guarantee

shall run for a period of one year from

the date of purchase, and obligations

under this guarantee are limited to

remedying any defect or replacing

any defective converter and shall be

effective only if the defective unit is

returned to us within 12 months after

purchase. Damage due to abuse, misuse,

or overloading is not covered by this

guarantee. We shall not be responsible

for any other loss or damage that may

arise through the use by a purchaser or

others of this device, and the purchas-

er

assumes such responsibility and

will hold Hybrinetics, Inc. harmless in

respect to all such loss or damage.

Important: This is a factory direct

warranty. Do not return defectives to

your retailer. All defectives must be

returned to the factory accompanied

by a sales receipt with the original
