Installing the connectivity software for FileLink

The CardioPerfect File Link Interface (CPFileLink) is based on creation of several types of
files that can be associated with a patient and imported into an electronic medical record
(EMR) system.

The file with an extension of .TFL is associated with the CPFileLink program so that if the
file is double-clicked, Windows launches CardioPerfect Workstation and selects the
appropriate test.

The image files can be viewed with any image viewer that is compatible with that file.

The file with an extension of .XML contains patient demographics and discreet test data
in a predefined metadata format, which can be imported into an EMR.

Additionally, CPFileLink can receive an .XML file containing patient demographics. If the
patient does not exist in CardioPerfect, the file will be created using the information from
the EMR application.

The CardioPerfect File Link program will be placed in the startup group on installation;
therefore it will be launched automatically at startup. CPFileLink preferences can be
accessed through an icon in the system tray.
