Setup
System Requirements
The following system requirements are recommended for optimal use
of this scanner.
Windows
Personal Computer
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz or higher
Memory: At least 1 GB
Hard disk: At least 1 GB of free space
USB interface: Hi-Speed USB 2.0
Monitor: Resolution of 1,024 × 764 (XGA) or higher
Optical drive: Drive capable of reading DVDs
Operating System
• Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4 or later
• Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 3 or later
• Microsoft Windows XP x64 Edition with Service Pack 2 or later

Software Installation
Install the following software required for using the scanner from the
supplied setup disc.
• CaptureOnTouch
This is a scanning utility designed specifically for the scanner.
• Scanner Driver
This is the scanner driver for the scanner.
Bundled Software
The following software is included on the software setup disc and can
be installed as necessary.
• Presto! BizCard Reader 5 SE
This is business card management software.
• Evernote
This is note management software.
• PaperPort ® 11 (P-150 only)
This is document filing software.
• Presto! PageManager 9 (P-150M only)
This is document management software.
Software Installation (Windows)
IMPORTANT
• Connect the scanner to the computer before you install the
software.
• Log on with administrator privileges.
• Exit all other applications before you install the software.
Hint
If you only use CaptureOnTouch Lite that comes preinstalled in the
scanner, the software does not need to be installed.

Turn ON the computer.

Insert the software setup disc into the DVD drive of the
computer.
