Check list before you begin

Receivable Broadcast Types

The following are possible audio broadcast types and on-screen displays.

Parenthesis indicate signal(s) not being received. The arrow indicates the

selected audio mode.

Push DISPLAY to display the broadcast

signal currently being received.

MTS Stereo and SAP broadcast

Multi-channel Television Sound Stereo
(main language) and Secondary Audio
Program (sub language) broadcasts are
being received simultaneously.

The “STEREO” and “SAP" indicators

light in the Multi Function Display.
Select STEREO or SAP audio mode.

Multi-channel Television Sound Stereo
broadcast. The “STEREO” indicator
lights in the Multi Function Display.

Select STEREO audio mode.
• If a stereo broadcast is weak and the display

flickers, you may want to select the MONO

audio mode for better results.

SAP broadcast

Secondary Audio Program (sub language)

broadcast. The “SAP” indicator lights in the
Multi Function Display. Select SAP audio
mode for the sub language.

MONO broadcast

Normal monaural sound broadcast.
