Refreshing rechargeable battery

If the rechargeable battery seems to run down sooner than usual (maybe because of
repetitive short-term charging and discharging), refresh the rechargeabie battery two to

three times by following the instructions below.

1. Disconnect the AC adaptor.

2. Play an audio CD repeatedly until the blinking mark" dAl ” appears and the power

goes off.

• When all music finish playing, power will go off. Turn the power on and play an

audio CD again.

3. Connect the AC adaptor, turn on the player and press ( on the player until

the mark

“CHC

disappears.

4. Charge the rechargeable battery until the mark

“CHC

appears and the power

goes off.

Replacing rechargeable battery (option)

Replace the rechargeable battery:

• If the rechargeable battery quickly runs down even after refreshing (it has reached

the end of its life).

Note:

• The rechargeable battery will charge approximately 300 times under optimum

condition.

Removing the rechargeabie battery:

Open the battery cover.

@ Pull the ribbon upward.

O Close the battery cover.

€> Disconnect the rechargeable

battery connector by pulling its

cable carefully, then remove the

rechargeable battery.
