“Other ^ ii:

Input a code number with the numbered buttons
(- page 24).

"Original":

The original language of each disc will be selected.

“Automatic”:

If the language selected for "Audio" is not available,
subtitles of that language will automatically appear it
available on that disc.

Level 8:

All DVDs can be played.

Level 1 to 7: Prohibits play of DVDs with corresponding ratings recorded

on them.

Level 0:

Prohibits play of all DVDs.

Remarks

Some discs are designed to start in a certain language despite

any changes you make here.

•The password screen is shown if you choose levels 0 to 7

{» page 24).

•Select “Level 0" to prevent play of discs that do not have

ratings levels recorded on them.

The password screen is shown when you select “Ratings" if
fevels 0 to 7 have been selected (• page 24).

Field:

Less blurred field stills are shown. Select if ¡ittering occurs
when "Automatic'' is selected.

Frame: Sharper frame stills are shown. Select if small text or fine

patterns cannot be seen clearly when “Automatic” is selected.

Lighter: when connected to a TV through the VIDEO OUT or S VIDEO

OUT terminal.

Darker: when connected to a TV through the COMPONENT VIDEO

Multi-channel: when 3 or more speakers are connected.

Speaker size - Large:when the speaker supports low-frequency (under

Speaker size - Smail: Select when the speaker does not support low-

frequency reproduction.

Delay time: when the center/surround speakers cannot be located in the

ideal position.

Channel balance: when the speaker level appear to be different when

listening to a source.

The size setting for the front speakers is automatically
determined by the setting for the subwoofer.
(If you do not connect a subwoofer, it is preferable to connect
front speakers capable of producing bass of less than

100 Hz.)

2-channel; when 2 speakers or an amplifier with a Dolby Pro Logic

decoder is connected.

Dynamic range is the difference between the loudest sound
and the softest sound. By compressing this range, you can
listen at low volume but still enjoy clear dialog.

The demonstration stops when you press a button.
