Go to the opposite side of the ve-

to the rack by the same method.

the handles on each side of the

gether on top of the bag.

3-Thread the short strap back through the center buckle

(Fig 9).

Run the StrapRight

the Classic Car Top Car-

Attaching The Carrier -WITHOUT a Roof Rack

The correct attachment of this product is critical and
beyond the control of Rightline Gear. The safe use
and long life of this product depends entirely on
your good judgment and following these directions.

1-Each strap has two strap pieces

connected through a center buck-
le. First, unthread the short strap
piece from the center buckle and
connect its loop end with the loop
end of the long piece (Fig 11). Fig 11

Directions for: Classic Car Top Carrier

1-It is easiest to load your Car

Top Carrier on the top of your
vehicle with its closed end fac-
ing forward (Fig 1). If using the
waterproof liner, put it inside the
carrier first (Fig 2). Make sure the
roof rack is secure to your vehicle
and don’t exceed its weight limit.

2-Fold back one edge of the

Classic Carrier to keep the Vel-
cro around the opening from
closing during loading (Fig 3).
3-Place your gear inside the carrier, evenly distributing

the weight. Place items with sharp or pointed edges in the
middle and pack softer items around them to protect the
carrier material. Leave at least 12” of unpacked space at
the opening of the carrier so that there is room to close it.

4-Connect the Velcro tabs on both sides of the opening

and then secure the top and bottom Velcro pieces to-
gether. Roll the opening toward the gear tightly with at
least two to three folds - just like rolling up a bag of
potato chips. If the carrier is not at maximum capac-
ity, keep rolling until the bag is tight around the gear.

5-Bend the two ends of the opening together and clip

the buckle (Fig 4). Tighten the buckle strap to make sure
it is secure. If the Velcro sections do not easily press to-
gether or you can’t get at least two to three folds, it
probably means the Classic Carrier is over packed.

IMPORTANT: THE OPENING OF THE CLASSIC

CARGO BAG MUST BE ROLLED UNTIL THE BAG IS

TIGHT AROUND THE GEAR. THIS STEP WILL PRE-

VENT EXCESS MATERIAL FROM FLAPPING IN THE

WIND WHICH CAN DAMAGE THE BAG AND CAUSE

THE LOAD TO SHIFT, LOOSENING THE STRAPS.

6-The big fabric loops by the buckles can be used with the

PackRight Security Cable Lock. Run the cable through the
loops and around the luggage rack, adjusting the cable
for a tight fit so that the lock doesn’t bounce around (Fig 5).
You can usually tuck the lock into the end fold of the bag.

Option 1: Through The Vehicle

The Classic Car Top Carrier comes with a StrapRight Strap
Set (Fig 6). Attaching two straps front to back between the
cross bars (Fig 7) or two straps side to side between the side
rails will sufficiently secure the carrier, however, using all
four straps provides the most secure method of attachment.
