Step 1. The Convertible version of the Chevrolet Camaro
has added structural braces on the underside of the vehicle.
If you have a Coupe you will need to remove the black cross
brace located under the resonator of the vehicle. If you have
a Convertible you will need to also remove the additional
larger cross brace under the middle of the vehicle and the
two braces located under the rear mufflers. After the braces
have been removed loosen the clamps located behind the
catalytic converters. Next working front to rear extract the
hangers from the rubber insulators and remove the OEM
system. Retain insulators and clamps as they will be used to
install the new system.
Step 2.
Begin installation of the new system by loosely
attaching the X-Pipe Assembly to the catalytic converter
outlets using the OEM clamps.
Step 3.
Next attach the Mid Pipe Assemblies to the
X-Pipe using the supplied 3.00" clamps. Loosely connect
the Mid Pipes using the supplied 3/8 fasteners at the
brackets. The D/S bracket should be on top of the P/S
bracket per the photo. .
