System Timing

System Timing

There are two sections, one applies to operation when synchronizing to the Genlock signal, the other
when synchronizing to the input. When the system is in Run mode, only one section will be active
depending on the presence or absence of the genlock signal.

Note that these timing adjustments apply only to the Delay outputs, not the Monitor outputs. The
monitor outputs are designed for confidence monitoring only, and are not timed. They exhibit a fixed
delay relative to the input of approximately 1/3 of a video line.

Note that in many applications these adjustments are not necessary. They are only used in
environments where the output must be adjusted to match other timed equipment, for example when
using a switcher or video mixer where many different sources must be consistent.

Lines

Adjusts the output line timing in relation to the active reference, by an amount equal to one
complete line. The adjustment range is -3 to 12

Sub-pels

Adjusts the output line timing in relation to the active reference, by an amount equal to one half
pixel. The adjustment range is -907 to 1139

SC/H Phase

Adjusts the Sub-Carrier/Horizontal phase relationship. Use a vector scope to view the phase
relationship between the CVBS output and reference and adjust the setting. Changes to the
setting are effective after the APPLY button is pressed. The adjustment range is effectively ±90°;
the numeric settings do not correspond to degrees.
