Configuration
Overview
This section covers the advanced configuration of Kofax Transformation Modules
Invoice Pack. The basic configuration is covered within the Kofax Transformation
Modules Invoice Pack Getting Started Guide.
In this section classification will be discussed with reference to the Kofax
Transformation Modules scripting, which is used to classify documents, and other
script calls which occur at classification.
This section will also cover extraction. Providing a field-by-field guide that will
include the type of information expected, locators used to generate results, field
settings and the associated validation methods.
Before making any changes to any scripts within the Invoice Pack solution, you
should be familiar with the overall concepts, features and basic configuration
options. This information can be found in the Kofax Transformation Modules Invoice
Pack Getting Started Guide.
Classification
Documents are classified entirely via scripts in the Invoice Pack solution. This allows
additional logic to be easily integrated into classification for customized
functionality.
Classification either routes the document into the correct invoice locale subclass, or
into the e-Invoice class if it detects that the information being processed is from an
electronic transfer, rather than a scanned document. However, if a document was
classified by some other method (e.g. through layout classification), that other
classification result is retained.
At the project level, there are several locators and fields which are used before any
further processing takes place. These fields are not directly associated with any
