pulses that ore reflected by on incoming object. When a vehicle is

detected, more pulses ore transmitted to track the incoming
vehicle speed and distance. The display unit, mounted where the

driver con easily

see

it, uses o bright flashing YELLOW light to

indicate that the vehicle has been detected. When the vehicle

reaches the desired stopping distance, o RED light will illuminate

and stay on.

INSTALLING BATTERIES

Batteries con lost up to one year. When it is time to replace the
batteries, a flashing red LED will appear in the display module
(after the solid red LED times out! to worn the user.

IMPORTANT:

Remove batteries before storing the Parking Alert

for extended periods. Batteries corrode overtime and may

cause permanent damage to the unit. Different types of

batteries or new and used batteries should not be mixed.
Exhausted batteries should be removed from the unit and

disposed of properly.

SETTING THE DESIRED STOPPING DISTANCE

The Parking alert has 5 selectable stopping distances.

1. Stop at 1-Foot

Detection Zone: 5 feet

Tracking Zone: 2-5 feet (slow flashing yellow LED)

Slowing Zone: 1-2 feet (rapidly flashing yellow LED)
Stop Zone: < 1 foot (solid red LED)

2. Stop at 2-Feet

Detection Zone: 5 feet

Tracking Zone: 3-5 feet (slow flashing yellow LED)

Slowing Zone: 2-3 feet (rapidly flashing yellow LED)
Stop Zone: < 2 feet (solid red LED)

3.

Stop at 3-Feet

Detection Zone: 5 feet

Tracking Zone: 4-5 feet (slow flashing yellow LED)

Slowing Zone: 3-4 feet (rapidly flashing yellow LED)
Stop Zone: < 3 feet (solid red LED)

Using the slide switch located

on the bock of the sensor unit,

you con set the parking alert

weather and vehicle type. It is important to check your reaction
time and leave sufficient stopping distance for these variations

Always test the desired stop distance when parking a new

vehicle and adjust mounting location or stopping distance if

necessary. The Parking Alert wos designed for slow speed

parking. For rapid entrance speeds, the display module may not
