Holding the paper roll so that the paper feeds from the bottom, unroll approximately 10
12 inches and insert the paper end between the rubber roller (platen) and the guide
panel (you will see arrows on the guide panel pointing into the unit.)
Grab the end of the paper as it emerges from the other side of the roller and pull it
toward you. Pull through at least 2 inches of paper. This is shown in iliustration #5
beiow.

Make sure the paper is properly aligned in the unit by adjusting it using both hands -
one hand holds the paper as it comes in under the roller (platen) and the other hand
holds the paper as it comes out on the other side of the roller (platen).
After the paper is aligned, pull the release lever back into the original position (lying
towards the back of the unit.)
