UNDERSTANDING AUDIO SIGNALS
The FAX-200 emits several tones:
• Touch tone

• Rejection tone
• Completion tone -
• Alarm tone
is heard when you press a ten-key.
This is a short tone (0.1 sec.).
is heard when you press a key that cannot be accepted
by the unit. This tone sounds for approximately half a
second.
is heard when a transmission, reception or copy is
completed.
This tone is twice as loud as the rejection tone and lasts
about a second.
is heard when a communication error has been detected.
It lasts for about 6 seconds at half-second intervals. It is
as loud as the Rejection tone.
is heard when an equipment error has been detected or
the unit runs out of paper. It lasts for about 6 seconds
continuously and is as loud as the Completion tone.
