E. COOLING SYSTEM MAlNTENANCE.

The cooling system relies on cooling air entering
the engine through the bottom engine grille located
between the fuel tank and starter. The
cooling fan pushes this air through the cylinder fin
area and out the rear grille openings in the engine
cover.

IMPORTANT
To maintain proper engine operating
temperatures, cooling air must pass freely
through the cylinder fin area. This flow of air
carries combustion heat away from the engine.

Overheating and engine seizure can occur when:

1. Air intakes are blocked, preventing cooling air

from reaching the cylinder.
