2. Thread the vehicle belt through the holes on either side of the base.
3. Buckle the vehicle belt. To create a secure
installation, while pushing down on the base,
pull the free end of the lap belt or the shoulder
portion of the lap/shoulder belt to tighten ©.
After installing, CHECK that the base is not
tipping on seat as shown © ■ If it is tipping,
try installing base in another seating
location or use LATCH (if available) to
install base.
4. Check that the base is level, adjust
the foot if necessary, see page 39-40.
5. Check that belt does not move by pulling
and pushing hard on base. If belt loosens
or lengthens, repeat procedure.
6. Test base for secure installation
as described in infant restraint
“Final Safety Check” page 41.
