When the receiver is tuned to an RDS station (a station at
jy which the RDS indicator lights up), this function lets you set
the receiver to search for stations broadcasting traffic pro­
grams.
Preparation • Set the broadcast band to FM.

Tune to a preset RDS station.
Skip this step if you have already completed the
RDS AUTO MEMORY procedure.
• The TP function will not work if all 40 FM preset stations were stored
manually using the procedure shown in "Presetting radio stations
manually". Be sure to use the RDS automatic memory function.
Press the numeric keys in the following order;
For "15", press Ro],i^
For "20", press
• If you make a mistake entering a two digit number, press the +10 key
several times to return to the original display and start again.
Press the TP key to start the search.

'TP SEARCH" and "ON" flash alternately in the display while the receiver
searches for TP (Traffic Program) information.
To cancel
Press again so that "TP SEARCH" and "OFF" flash alternately
in the display.
TP (Traffic Program) indication
When me "TP" indicator is lit, this means that the presently-received
station or a station is transmitting traffic information. When "TP" is
displayed for the station being received, the traffic information of this
station can oe received without using the TP search function.
