1. Learning the Parts of Your Airgun
Learning the names of the parts of your new
airgun will help you understand your owner's
manual. Use this manual to increase your
enjoyment of this airgun.
2. Operating the Safety
A. To Put the Airgun "ON SAFE:"
• Locate the safety directly above of the trig-
ger.
• Push the safety from the left side in (Fig. 2A).
The safety is not "ON SAFE"
unless it is pushed all the way in and the RED ring around the left side of the
safety is NOT showing.
Like all mechanical devices, an airgun safety can fail. Even when the safety is
"ON SAFE," you should continue to handle the airgun safely. NEVER point the air-
gun at any person. NEVER point the air gun at anything you do not intend to
shoot.
B. To Take the Airgun "OFF SAFE:"
• Push the safety from the right side in.
When you can see the RED ring around
the left side of the safety, the airgun is "OFF SAFE" and can be fired (Fig. 2B).
3. Installing and Removing the CO2 Cartridge
NOTE: You should use Crosman or Game Face brand 88g AirSource CO2 cylin-
ders only. These bottles are made to fit the model NS1200 airgun. Other
brands or sizes of CO2 cylinders may not fit properly and if you force them into
place it may result in injury to you or damage to your airgun. Never try to force
any CO2 cylinder in or out of place. We recommend you do not store your airgun
with a CO2 cylinder in it. If you know you will not be using your airgun for an
extended period of time, empty the CO2 cylinder and remove it from the airgun.
A. Installing a New CO2 Cartridge
• Make sure the air rifle is "ON SAFE" (See Section 2A) and unloaded (Section 4).
• Point the air rifle in a SAFE DIRECTION.
• Cock the bolt by pushing the bolt handle forward, until it clicks into place and the
bolt fully covers the arrow (Fig .6).
• Locate the tabs on the stock of the gun, push in on the tabs and remove by pulling
the butt rearward (Fig. 4).
• Remove the protective cap from the AirSource CO2 cylinder.
• Screw the AirSource cylinder neck first into the piercing assembly until hand tight
(Fig. 5).
• Push the clip cover latch (located on the left side) inward while moving the clip
cover forward (Fig. 3).
• Install an EMPTY CLIP making sure the indexing teeth are towards the front of
the gun.
• Close the clip cover.
• Point the airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION, take "OFF SAFE" and pull the trigger. If the
airgun does not make a popping noise after pulling the trigger, the CO2 is not being dis-
charged. In that event, tighten the AirSource cylinder a little more, point the airgun in a
SAFE DIRECTION, cock the bolt and pull the trigger. Repeat until you hear a popping
noise, which means the airgun is releasing CO2 with each pull of the trigger.
• Return the safety to the "ON SAFE" position (see section 2A).
• Your airgun is now charged and ready to use in a safe manner after fully reading
this manual and following section 5 on aiming and firing safely.
NOTE: THIS IS THE ONLY TIME YOU SHOULD DRY FIRE YOUR AIR RIFLE (FIRE
WITHOUT A PELLET). CONTINUING TO DRY FIRE YOUR AIR RIFLE MAY
RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE AIR RIFLE.
NOTE: This airgun has been developed with a blowback feature, which allows the
gun to automatically re-cock after each trigger pull. Keep your hands away from the
bolt when firing. You need only cock your air rifle manually once when you load
the CO2 or if you note that the bolt is not fully covering the arrow. You may see a
small amount of CO2 expel at the end of the barrel, near the clip or near the bolt
when firing. This is part of the blowback feature.
When your CO2 bottle starts to empty, the air rifle may not fully re-cock and will make a rapid popping noise, and the bolt
will move forward and back. This is not unusual. When this happens, keep the air rifle pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION
and put the air rifle "ON SAFE." When the noise stops, slowly remove the bottle (following section 3B), allowing any
remaining gas to empty.
B. Removing the CO2 Cartridge.
• Put the air rifle "ON SAFE" (See section 2A).
• Make sure it is unloaded (see section 4B).
• Locate tabs on the stock of the gun and push in on the tabs and remove by pulling
the butt rearward (Fig. 4).
• Turn the AirSource CO2 cylinder slowly counter-clockwise two or three turns at a time
to allow any remaining gas to escape.
IMPORTANT: Avoid contact with the escaping CO2, as it can cause frostbite.
Take special care if you are removing an AirSource cylinder which is full, as
much more CO2 gas will need to be released.
4. Loading and Unloading Pellets
A. Loading Pellets
• Put the airgun "ON SAFE" (See section 2A).
• Push the clip cover latch inward and clip cover forward, exposing the pellet clip
(Fig. 3).
• Remove the pellet clip from the gun.
• Place a .177 caliber pellet nose first in each pellet chamber of the pellet clip- making sure the indexing teeth are away
from you (Fig. 7). To avoid jams or deforming pellets, make sure each pellet skirt is level or slightly below the rim of the
pellet chamber.
Not a toy. Adult supervision required. Misuse or careless use may cause
serious injury or death. May be dangerous up to 500 yds (457 m). WARNING:

Congratulations and thank you for purchasing the CROSMAN® Model NS1200 .177 caliber (4.5 mm) pellet air-
gun. Please read this owner's manual completely. And remember, this airgun is not a toy. Treat it with the
same respect you would a firearm. Always carefully follow the safety instructions found in this owner's manual
and keep this manual in a safe place for future use.

THIS AIRGUN IS INTENDED FOR USE BY THOSE 16 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.
Lead pellets. Do not inhale dust or put pellets in mouth. Wash hands after
handling. This product contains lead, a chemical known to the State of
California to cause cancer and birth defects (or other reproductive harm).

CO2 cylinders may explode at temperatures
above 120F° (48.9C). Do not mutilate or
incinerate them. Do not expose them to heat or store CO2 at
temperatures above 120F° (48.9°C).
WARNING:
• Replace the pellet clip in the breech, making sure the indexing teeth are towards
the front of the airgun.
• Slide the clip cover closed until it clicks into place.
• The pellets are now in position to be fired out of the barrel after reading and fol-
lowing Section 5 on aiming and firing safely.
REMEMBER: DRY FIRING YOUR AIR RIFLE MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO
THE AIR RIFLE.
B. Unloading Pellets
• Put the airgun "ON SAFE" (See section 2A).
• Push the clip cover forward, exposing the pellet clip.
• Remove the pellet clip from the gun.
• To empty the clip, use a ramrod to gently push each pellet out.
IMPORTANT: Never use sharp metal tools to remove pellets.
5. Aiming and Firing Safely
A. Aiming the Airgun
• Always point your airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION.
• You and others with you should always wear shooting glasses to protect your
eyes.
• Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water. The pellet may bounce
off or ricochet and hit someone or something you had not intended to hit.
• Always choose your target carefully. For example, you may wish to shoot at
paper bulls-eye targets that are attached to a safe backstop, such as the
Crosman 850 Target Trap. A heavy blanket should be hung behind the target trap
to prevent ricochet, should you miss the backstop.
• Your airgun is designed for target shooting and is suited for both indoor and out-
door use. Always remember to place your target carefully. THINK about what
you will hit if you miss the target.
• Follow the instructions for installing CO2 (Section 3A) and loading pellets
(Section 4A).
• The airgun is correctly aimed when the front sight is positioned exactly in the
center of the rear sight. The bulls-eye should appear to rest on the top of the front
sight (Fig. 8).
• When you are sure of your target and backstop and the area around the
target is clear, take the airgun "OFF SAFE" (See section 2B) and pull the
trigger to fire.
B. Sight Adjustments
The rear sight is designed with two different aperture sizes to fit the individual
shooter's preference. Apertures can easily be adjusted by flipping from one peep
to the other (Fig 9).
The rear sight may also be adjusted for windage- (moving the point of impact to
the right or left). Always adjust your sight in the direction you want the point of
impact to move. To move the point of impact to the right, turn the screw clock-
wise. To move the point of impact to the left turn the screw counter-clockwise
(Fig. 10).
The front sight may be adjusted for elevation- (moving the point of impact up or
down.) To lower the point of impact, turn counter clockwise. To raise the point of
impact turn clockwise (Fig. 11).
6. Removing a Jammed Pellet
• Do not reload the air gun.
• Put the airgun "ON SAFE."
• Point the airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION.
• Remove the CO2 cylinder from the air rifle (see section 3B).
• Press downward and forward on the barrel latch tabs (Fig 12).
• Remove the pellet clip from the airgun (See Section 5B).
• With the airgun "ON SAFE" and pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION, hold the gun in
the position shown in Figure 13.
• Insert a .177 caliber ramrod into the barrel and carefully push the jammed pellet
out of the gun. Do not try to reuse the pellet.
• Return the barrel latch tabs to the closed position.
• If you are not able to unjam your air gun by following the unloading procedure,
take no further action. An Authorized Service Station will unjam your airgun.
7. Maintaining Your Airgun
• Your airgun will maintain proper function longer if you put one drop of Crosman
0241 Pellgunoil® directly on the tip of every third AirSource 88 gram CO2 car-
tridge before inserting (Fig. 14). DO NOT over-oil, as this can cause damage to your gun.
• DO NOT MODIFY OR ALTER YOUR AIRGUN. Attempts to modify the airgun in any way inconsistent with this
manual may make your airgun unsafe to use, cause serious injury or death and will void the warranty.
• If you drop your airgun, visually check to see that no damage has occurred to the gun. If anything seems
changed, like a shorter or weaker trigger pull, this may mean worn-out or broken parts. Call Crosman customer
service for assistance before using your airgun again.
8. Reviewing Safety
• Never point the airgun at any person or at anything you do not intend to shoot.
• Always treat the airgun as though it is loaded and with the same respect you would a firearm.
• Always aim in a SAFE DIRECTION. Always keep the muzzle of the airgun pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION.
• Always keep the airgun "ON SAFE" until you are ready to shoot.
• Always check to see if the airgun is "ON SAFE" and unloaded when taking it from another person or from storage.
• Always keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until ready to shoot.
• You and others with you should always wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes.
• If your reading or prescription glasses are not safety glasses, make sure you wear shooting glasses over your regular
glasses.
• Use .177 caliber (4.5 mm) pellets only in your airgun.
• Never reuse ammunition.
• Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water. The pellet may bounce off or ricochet and hit someone or some-
thing you had not intended to hit.
• Place the backstop in a location that will be safe should the backstop fail.
• Your backstop should be checked for wear before and after each use. All backstops are subject to wear and will eventu-
ally fail. Replace your backstop if the surface is worn or damaged or if a ricochet occurs.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or tamper with your airgun. Use an Authorized Service Station. Using unauthorized repair
centers or modifying the function of your airgun in any way may be unsafe and will void your
warranty.
• Always keep your CrosBlock trigger block in place when storing this airgun. Store airgun in a secure location. (See
CrosBlock instructions packaged with this airgun for assistance).
• Before you store your airgun make sure it is unloaded, not charged, and the airgun is "ON SAFE."

Many factors affect velocity including brand of projectile, type of projectile, lubrication, barrel condition and tempera-
ture.
We recommend the use Crosman®.177 pellets and Crosman or Game Face AirSource CO2 cylinders with this gun.
This airgun ammunition is designed for use in your airgun.
REPAIR SERVICE
If your airgun needs repair, we recommend you take or send it to your nearest Crosman Authorized Service Station.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DISASSEMBLE IT! Your airgun requires special tools and fixtures to repair it. Any disassem-
bly or modification not performed by an Authorized Service Station will void the warranty.
A SPECIAL CUSTOMER SERVICE
Crosman Authorized Service Stations will unjam your airgun at no cost during the warranty period.
LIMITED ONE-YEAR WARRANTY
This product is warranted to the retail consumer for one year from date of retail purchase, against defects in material
and workmanship and is transferable. To register the serial number of your airgun, please return the airgun registra-
tion form. The warranty is not conditioned on the return of the card. You should retain the original sales receipt as
record of date of purchase.

Transportation charges to Authorized Service Station for product. Damages caused by abuse, modification or failure

ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF

Do not brandish or display this airgun in public – it may confuse people and may
be a crime. Police and others may think it is a firearm. Do not change the col-

Keep hands away from escaping CO2 gas. It can cause frostbite if allowed to
come in contact with skin. Always make sure the CO2 cartridge is empty
before attempting to remove it from the air rifle by slowly turning the bottle counter-clockwise all
the way until you no longer hear the escape of
CO2 gas.
