3 Training Scenarios

3.1 AED Modes (Semi-Automic and Fully Automatic)

New Standalone AED Trainers and Training Battery Pack Systems are factory

programmed to function in Semi-Automatic mode. Both the Standalone AED

Trainer and the Training Battery Pack System can be configured to operate in

either Semi-Automatic or Fully Automatic mode. All of the training scenarios

noted in section 3.3 can be used in either mode.
Caution:

Please ensure that the Standalone AED Trainer and the Training Battery

Pack System are configured to the AED mode for which training is intended.

3.2 Configuring the AED Mode (Semi-Automatic

or Fully Automatic)

Note: To switch between the Semi-Automatic and Fully Automatic AED modes
you must have a Remote Control. It is not possible to configure the modes
without a Remote Control.

To switch the AED Mode:

1. Start with the AED off.
2. Power on the AED.
3. Press and release the Shift Key on the Remote Control.
4. Press and release the Alt Key on the Remote Control.
5. Press and release the Pause Key on the Remote Control.
6. The AED will announce “Training Mode” for Semi-Automatic mode or

“Version 2 Training Mode” for Fully Automatic mode.

The AED Mode has now been programmed and the AED will start using this

mode every time the unit is turned on. Each time the unit is turned on, the unit

will announce to which training mode it is programmed.

Note: The AED mode is stored in the battery pack, therefore if the battery pack
is moved to another unit, the AED mode will be that of the battery pack used in
the unit.
