INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING
RETAINING STRAP
1. Locate the 12” long, black, hook and loop strap enclosed in the box
with the ladder.
2. Pass the tip from one end of the strap through the slot in the other
end, forming a loop.
3. Slip the white poly block into the loop and cinch the loop tight around
the block. Make sure the hook and loop material will stick to itself
once the block is fastened in place. If the hook and loop does not
stick to itself, undo the loop and reverse the material and try again.
4. Position the white poly block and loop under the front edge of swim
platform, mark and drill holes to proper depth, making sure not to drill
completely through the swim platform.
5. Insert screws and tighten. You can now wrap the strap around one or
two steps and it will keep the ladder from deploying when boat is
underway.
