How can I Review the firmware version in my device?
1. Switch on the device.
2. Press the
Menu
button on the device.
3. Select
Setting^Version.
How can I upgrade the firmware in my player?
Important: Make sure the serial number of your device is in the scope of GS1A084200005
~ GS1A090314244 before the update starts. The serial number can be found from the label
attached on the bottom of your device.
1. Download the firmware to your PC.
2. Unzip the downloaded file; you will get a file named philips.bin. Attention: Do not rename
the file to avoid firmware upgrade failure.
3. Copy the file into a SD card. Make sure the SD card is compatible with the device.
4. Switch on the device and then insert the SD card, the firmware upgrade will auto start.
5. Once the firmware update is completed, the device will auto restart and the
Philips
logo will appear
on the display.
We suggest the firmware should be removed from your SD card to avoid a duplicated update when
it is inserted into the device next time.
