Set the default playback picture size according to the picture tube shape or aspect
ratio of your TV. For example, normal or standard TV screens are a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Preparations

• Turn on the TV and select the appropriate video input mode (Auxiliary input).

Turn the DVD video player on.

Displays pictures cropped to fill your TV

screen. Either or both sides of the picture are
cut off.

LB / LETTERBOX:
Displays theatrical images with masking bars
above and below the picture.

The SET UP MENU appears again.
“PS” or “LB” appears on the SET UP MENU.

Press SET UP.

The SET UP MENU disappears.

Notes

' The displayable picture size is preset on the DVD video disc.

Therefore, the playback picture of some DVD video discs may not
conform to the picture size you select above.

' When you playback DVD video discs recorded in the 4:3 picture size

only, the playback picture always appears in the 4:3 picture size
regardless of the TV shape setting.

' If you press the RETURN button while a menu appears on the TV

screen, you will return to the previous screen.
