л PLAYING A CD
• Ensure that the HOLD function is switched off.
• Connect headphones to the socket PHONES ii.
• Press OPEN to open the CD cover.
• Insert the CD. printed side facing upwards (fig. 3).
• Close the cover. The CD player starts and scans the contents list of the CD. Af
ter that, the total playing time and the number of tracks appear on the display and
the CD player stops.
• Playback will start by pressing PLAYC>. As soon as playback starts, the display
shows the track number 1 and the elapsed playing time of the first title. When the
second title is reached the track number 2 appears, etc.
• Adjust the sound with the buttons VOLUME, JA2Z/POP/CLASSIC and DBB
and/or AMBIENCE.
• For brief interruptions, press PAUSE CO, The word PAUSE appears. To continue
playback, press PAUSE CO again.
• To stop playback, press STOP O. Now the display shows the total playing time
and the number of tracks on the CD,
• Open the CD cover only if the CD player is in STOP-mode.
• In STOP-mode, the CD player automatically shuts down after 30 seconds.
• To reactivate the set, press the PLAY button on the CD player.
• While in stand-by mode, the CD player is protected against accidental remote
operation. To reactivate the CD player, press PLAY on the remote control for at
least 3 seconds. .
Remarks
- The CD player also goes into STOP-mode:
- when the end of the CD is reached:
- if the battery runs down or if the power supply is interrupted in another way,
- If the battery becomes exhausted, the word ВАТТ appears. In this case,
recharge the battery by connecting the mains adapter to the 6 V DC socket.
- If PLiWO IS pressed and the CD player shuts down after some seconds, the
CD player cannot read the CD..? or 'no disc' appears. Possible causes are.
- you inserted the CD the wrong way; the label should face upwards (fig. 3);
- the surface of the CD is badly scratched or dirty, see 'Maintenance';
- the lens (fig. 4) is steamed up because of a sudden transition from a cold
to a warm environment; do not clean the lens, but let the set acclimatize for a
while.
