CD Labels Default Folder
• To choose a default folder for your CD labels, click the Browse button
to the right of the CD labels default folder field. When creating a new
job, this will be the default folder that the SCRIBE EC opens to browse
for a label file path.
Printer Driver
The PRINTER DRIVER pull-down is used to indicate to the SCRIBE EC
the type of printer that is installed.
• Click the PRINTER DRIVER pull down and select the type of printer
being used.
• If you do not have a printer, please select none.
Communication Serial Ports
The Communication Serial Ports pull-down allows you to choose which
COM port the SCRIBE EC uses to communicate with the PC.
• To choose a COM port, click the pull-down button to the right of the
Communication serial ports field. Depending on which port the
SCRIBE EC is connected to, you will choose from COM 1, or 2.
• Click OK to exit the Settings Editor.

Close and re-open the SCRIBE EC software.
