Multifunctional Display

I

The display is activated when you press the
ON/OFF button and when you turn the zoom

lock.

During trimming, the display provides the following

information (fig. 5):

> The symbol appears when no comb is

attached to the Trimmer

k Remaining hair length after trimming in

millimeters

k Remaining charge level

k

Travel lock indicator

k

The symboll ‘E’ if the cutting unit is blocked

Trimming

k

Use this Trimmer for its intended household

use as described in this manual,

k

Always comb your beard and/or moustache

with a fine comb before you start trimming,

k

If you are trimming for the first time, be

careful. Do not move the Trimmer too fast.

Make smooth and gentle movements,

k

After trimming, residual hair length can vary

depending on hair type.

Trimming With Trimming Comb

k

The hair length settings are indicated in

millimeters on the display. The settings

correspond to the remaining hair length after

trimming.

k

The trimming combs cut hair to a length of

1/32-23/32 in (1-18 mm),

k

For contouring and trimming longer beards,

use the contour-following trimming comb,

k

A trimming comb must be on Trimmer

in order to use the Zoom Lock.

Slide the trimming comb onto the Trimmer

(fig-6).

Turn the Zoom Lock (fig. 7) to the desired

hair trimming length setting (see table).The
display shows the selected hair length.

If you are trimming for the first time, start by

using the maximum trimming length setting

of 23/32 in. (18mm) to prevent accidentally
trimming hairs too short. As you become

familiar with the settings, adjust Zoom Lock

to desired trimming length.

Turn the Trimmer ON (fig. 4).

□ To trim in the most effective way, move the

Trimmer against the direction of hair growth.

Do not move the trimmer too fast. Make

smooth and gentle movements and make
sure the surface of the trimming comb always
stays in contact with the skin (fig. 8).

NOTE: Since all hairs do not grow in the same

direction, you may want to try different trimming
positions fi.e.. upwards, downwards, or acrossV

Practice is best for optimum results.

B You can use the turbo function for extra

suction power and trimming speed (see
section Turbo Power’).

□ Turn the Trimmer OFF.

Q Clean the Trimmer (see section ‘Cleaning’).
