6. Insert empty magazine, check that it is firmly seated.
7. Bolt catch
a. Cycle action (charging handle to rear). • Bolt must be caught in its rear position.
b. Release bolt catch. • Bolt must release and fully close.
c. Pull the trigger, apply the safety lever.
