Q. The keyboard does not respond when I press any button.
What should I do?
A. Press and hold the Power
button to power off your
Notebook then restart, or call Compaq customer support
for assistance.
Q. Why is my Notebook slow when coming out of Hibernation
mode or when not on the network?
A. If the internal Ethernet hardware (network card) is set up to
connect to a network, Windows tries to access the network
through the Ethernet hardware. If a connection does not exist,
then start-up delays or loss of functionality can occur. One
way to overcome these problems is to use the Hardware
Profile feature of Windows. This feature allows you to create
two different Hardware Profiles that are selectable upon start-
up: one with the internal Ethernet hardware enabled, and one
with internal Ethernet hardware disabled.
