9. Place a spacer on the left end of the cross bar.
Pull the bar to the right until the spacer is flushed
with the end of the bar as shown in Figure 10B.
Lift assembly and slide the cross bar into one of
the holes on the left side of frame. Secure with
hairpin clip removed in step 6.
46" Deck: Use the rear set of holes.
50" Deck: Use the forward set of holes.
10. Place a spacer on the right end of the cross bar.
Pull the bar to the left until the spacer is flushed
with the end of the bar. Slide the cross bar into
the hole on the right side of frame. Secure with
hairpin clip. See Figure 10D.
11. Move the lift lever forward to the lowest position.
NOTE: It may be necessary to pull down on the lift
links to obtain the lowest position.
12. Lift up on the edge of the deck and hook up the
left front deck hanger to the deck using a flat
washer and hairpin clip. Make sure deck hanger
goes through the center of V-Belt. See Figure
11
.
13. Attach the right front hanger to the deck using a
flat washer and hairpin clip.
14. Move the lift lever all the way back to the full
raised position.
15. Units with 50" Decks: Remove the clevis pins
and hairpin clips from the roller assembly. Slide
the roller assembly between the rear wheels and
the deck. Insert the deck roller brackets up
through the brackets provided on the rear of the
deck. It may be necessary to rotate the deck
roller brackets 360° to clear the roll pin stop.
Attach with clevis pins and hairpin clips just
removed, using the lowest hole location on each
side of the deck. See Figure 12.
16. Move the lift lever fonward to the lowest position.
17. Attach the two rear lift links with flat washers and
hairpin clips.
18. Place deck belt around the engine pulley. Make
certain the deck belt is seated in the deck pulley.
