Use a vacuum cleaner with a plastic nozzle to remove dirt from the carriage and the platen. Make
certain the paper out sensor is not blocked by dirt and dust. A dry, lint-free cloth may be used to
clean accumulated dirt from the carriage shafts and the platen.
