7) As soon as the equipment responds, press the OK button ( ok ) to confi rm the programming and hold it until
the signal LED ( ) fl ashes twice.
8) Test the functionality of your remote control using the standby button ( ) and then with the buttons 1 to 47
(according to the function description table).
9) If the equipment responds properly to all functions, your KN-URC80B is correctly programmed and can be
used.
Note :
It could happen, that during the search process, the KN-URC80B fi nds several codes to which your TV set
responds, but where all buttons do not function for each code. In this case, the search process should be
re-started (steps 3 to 9) until you obtain the best code. Re-starting the search process starts at the last saved
programming.
Automatic search feature
Alternatively, or if either in case of manual programming or with automatic programming, the correct code for your
equipment cannot be found, you may use the automatic search feature.
1)
Switch on your TV, satellite receiver or your DVB-T / cable box (STB), your DVD / Bluray player or recorder
(DVD) and your audio equipment.
2) Press and hold the TV (
tv
), STB (
stb
), DVD (
dvd
) or AUX (
aux
) button depending on the level that you wish to
programme until the signal LED ( ) fl ashes twice.

For audio equipment, fi rst press the Shift button (

) and then the
TV/CD button (

) for TAPE,
DVD/TUNER button (

AUX/AMP button (

3) Using the numeric buttons, enter
the code 1 0 0 1 for TV,
the code 3 0 0 1 for STB,
the code 5 0 0 1 for DVD,
the code 6 0 0 1 for CD,
the code 7 0 0 1 for TAPE,
the code 8 0 0 1 for TUNER or
the code 9 0 0 1 for AMP.
The signal LED ( ) fl ashes twice in order to confi rm that the search mode has been activated.
4) For TV, STB and AMP, hold the standby button ( ); for DVD, CD and TAPE, hold the stop button ( ) or for the
TUNER, hold button 2 ( 2 ) of your KN-URC80B pressed until the equipment switches off; for DVD, CD or
TAPE until playback stops or with the TUNER, until it switches to the next programme. This step may take
several minutes.
