TO ATTACH BUTTSTOCK:

Before making any buttstock changes, move the safety button fully rearward
to the “ON” (SAFE) position and visually and physically check the chamber,
elevator, and magazine tube to be certain the shotgun is unloaded. Also, be
sure to keep the action open and the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.

a) Insert the stock bolt, lock washer, and washer into the buttstock. Align the front

of the buttstock with the back of the receiver as shown (Fig. 5

). Using a ½”

socket or a flat blade screwdriver tighten the stock bolt until it is tight. Check the
stock for looseness.

Note: Failure to use both washers may allow stock bolt to protrude too
far into receiver, damaging the Trigger Group.

b) Align the recoil pad screws in the recoil pad with the back of the buttstock as

shown (Fig. 6). Using a Phillips-head screwdriver tighten the recoil pad screws
until snug. Check the recoil pad for looseness.
