c) Install the rubber inserts by first compressing them as shown and lining the
groove around the outside with the hole in the side of the buttstock. The open
side of the rubber inserts should be facing out and the transparent shield towards
the inside of the buttstock. With the grooves aligned press the rubber insert into
the buttstock (Fig. 7), starting at the aligned grooves and working around in both
directions. Press inward and downward on the baffles to ensure the groove is
aligned all the way around (Fig. 8). Repeat for the other side.
