Troubleshooting

Sometimes problems can be easily solved by checking a few basic things. Check below before you call for
help or take your HDTV to an Authorized Service Center.

Symptom

No power

Cannot select a specific
channel with CH up/down
buttons

No picture

Poor picture quality

Some programs are not
available for viewing

No sound

Password error

The remote control is not
responding

The remote control is
operational, but other
components are not
responding.

HDTV automatically
turns off

Remedies

Check that the AC power plug is securely plugged into the power outlet.

Check the channel station by pressing the CHANNEL STATION button.

The channel may not be in memory.After selecting the channel using the
Number buttons on the remote control, add the channel to memory by pressing
the ADD/ERASE button.

Check that the antenna or cable wire is connected properly.

Check the INPUT SELECT menu to make sure the antenna and cable selection is correct.

Check if the channel is available.

Select the component which you want to view pressing the TV/VIDEO button.

Analog channel:

Fine tune the channel in the CHANNEL SETUP menu.

Digital channel:

Check the signal strength in the CHANNEL SETUP menu. If the signal

strength is weak, physically adjust your antenna to obtain the best signal quality.

Check the state of the rating limit in the LOCKS & LIMITS menu.

Check the SPEAKER SETUP menu to make sure the speakers are on.

Make sure that MUTE is not on.

If you forget your password, contact an authorized Daewoo Service Center for
assistance.

Check the batteries. If the batteries are weak, replace them with new ones.

Operate the remote control unit at a distance of not more than 7 meters
(23 feet) from the remote control sensor.

Remove any obstacles between the remote control unit and remote control
sensor.

Check that you have selected the proper Mode button (SAT, CATV,VCR,TV).

To operate your component (VCR, SAT or Cable Box), make sure you’ve
programmed the remote control properly.

The remote codes may be erased whenever you remove the batteries. Reprogram
the remote control.

The sleep timer may have been set to turn the HDTV off.
