This interface lets you attach your Monarch

9800

series printers
to either a twinax AS/400, S36, or coax mainframe host. This chapter
gives instructions on how to install the interface. This installation is to be
performed ONLY by Monarch service personnel.
C o n n e c t o r s
Connect the twinax/coax cable to the appropriate port. Use the rotary
switch to select addresses. The Sync/Cu LED is on when the host and
printer establish communications.
1. Turn off printer.
CAUTION
Damage can occur to the interface or printer if it is
connected while printer is on.
