4.2 Putting into operation

We recommend that you vacuum off your mattress before using the heat

underblanket for the first time. Then spread out the heat underblanket flat

on your mattress so that the cable entrance is located approximately at

shoulder height (see illustration). The head area of the anti-allergy under-

blanket is not heated.

Then pull the side section over the sides of your mattress like a contour

sheet. The under blanket is designed to fit mattresses of the size 35x80 in

(90x200 cm) and 38x80 in (100x200 cm). The head section is not heated.

If the cable length is insufficient, you can order a longer power supply cord

with the material number 108.494 from our specified Customer Service.

Then secure your contour sheet as accustomed so that the heat underblan-

ket is between your mattress and the contour sheet.

Make sure that the heat underblanket is always spread out flat and does not push together or

wrinkle during use. Check its position when making the bed. The heat underblanket may only

be switched on when it is spread out flat. We recommend switching on the heat

underblanket and covering it with the quilt for approx. 15 minutes before going to bed to pre-

vent the heat from escaping. This heat underblanket may only be operated in conjunction with

the switch type specified on the unit.

Attention: The electronic components in the switch will cause the switch to warm up

slightly when the electric underblanket is being used. For this reason, the switch must

never lie on the electric underblanket or be covered by blankets, pillows etc.

4.3 Temperature selection

Before operating the anti-allergenic underblanket for the first time, connect the switch with the

anti-allergenic underblanket by joining the plug-in connector. Then plug the power cord into the

mains outlet.

You will obtain the most rapid heating-up of the electric underblanket by first setting the high-

est temperature level. For use over several hours, we recommend that you select the lowest

temperature level.

4.4 Temperature settings:

0

= Off

1

= Minimum heat

2–5 = Individual heat

6

= Maximum heat and “anti-allergy” level

4.5 Automatic switch-off function

With this heat underblanket an automatic switch-off after approx. 2, 6, 9 or 12 hrs. can be set.

The red signal lamp in the switch lights up while the heat underblanket is being heated. After

the switch-off time expires, the heat underblanket is no longer heated and the red signal lamp

beings to flash.

To heat the heat underblanket again, first set the switch to the switch setting “0” (off) for ap-

prox. 5 seconds and then select the desired temperature setting. If the heat underblanket is no

longer used after the timed switch-off, it should be switched off (level “0”) or the power plug

should be pulled out of the socket outlet.
