3.0 Removal
1. Disconnect the MM200 from power, and remove the lid of the unit. Place lid and screws to the
side.

2. From the backside of the unit, unplug and remove the two interface cards or blank panels on
the right side of the unit. These are interface slots #3 and #4. This will expose the back of
M&C board as shown below.

3. On top the M&C board, locate the existing firmware chip FW/4459 (in the socket marked U11)
and remove it by using the IC chip puller. Refer to figure 3 on the next page.
WARNING: BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING THE CHIP. BE SURE NOT TO PUT
PRESSURE ON THE SOCKET OR PULL THE SOCKET UP OFF THE BOARD ALONG
WITH THE CHIP.
