Ku-Band Frequency
Conversion Formulas
The relationship between Ku-Band and L-Band frequencies is:
Transponder RX Center
– Downlink Factor =
L-band
11.720 GHz – 10.750 GHz = 970 MHz
In order to convert an IF frequency to L-Band, the conversion factor is:
Conversion Factor =
Transponder RX Center – Downlink Factor – IF
(11720 MHz - 10750 MHz - 70 MHz)
Conversion Factor =
900 MHz
To convert from L-band to IF, the formula is:
