THE 4-TON ELECTRIC/HYDRAULIC DR WOOD SPLITTER MUST BE CONNECTED TO A PROPERLY
GROUNDED OUTLET BEFORE OPERATION.

End of Season and Storage



BEFORE PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE, YOU MUST UNPLUG THE WOOD SPLITTER FROM THE
POWER SOURCE. MAKE SURE THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED (SEE PAGE 7), AND MAKE
SURE THE FLUID HAS COOLED.

READ THE "GENERAL SAFETY RULES" (CHAPTER 2) OF THIS MANUAL BEFORE PERFORMING ANY
REPAIRS OR MAINTENANCE.

Wipe down the 4-TON ELECTRIC/HYDRAULIC DR WOOD SPLITTER to remove any moisture,

wood chips, and dirt that may have accumulated on the Log Guides and Operating Handle.

Apply a thin coating of oil or #2 Lithium Grease to the leading edge of the Splitting Wedge.

Store the 4-TON ELECTRIC/HYDRAULIC DR WOOD SPLITTER in a dry area.

NOTE: A Protective Cover, Item Number 22177, is available through DR Power Equipment.

Relieve any internal air pressure by turning the Air Bleed Screw counter-clockwise 4 times to open,
and then retighten by turning clockwise prior to storing the machine (Figure 8

on page 13). DO

NOT OVER TIGHTEN!

USE CARE: DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN AND STRIP THE AIR BLEED SCREW THREADS.
