2) Forces and moments may be applied si mult aneously in any

direction.

3) Val ues apply to all materials.
4) Higher loads may be applicable, if directi on and magnitude of

indivi dual loads are known, but these need writt en approval
from Flows erve Pump Di vision.

5) Pumps must be on rigid foundations and baseplat es must be

fully grouted.

6) Pump/basepl ate should not be us ed as pipe anc hor. Sucti on

and discharge piping s houl d be anchored as clos e as possible
to t he pump flanges to r educ e vibration and prevent strai n on
the pump casing. Expansion joints are r ecommended. They
must be properl y tied and l ocat ed on the side of the pipe anc hor
away from t he pump

7) The pump mounting bolt t orques specified must be used t o

prevent relati ve movement between t he pump casing and
baseplat e. (See s ection 6.6, F astener t orques.). T he bolt
mat erial must have a mini mum yiel d strength of 600 N/ mm
