in the gland are barrier fluid inlet and outlet
ports. Use Figure 7 to determine which ports to use as inlet and
outlet.

3.2 For
dual seal pressurized seal operation, supply a clean
compatible barrier fluid to the inlet port at a pressure at least 25
psi (170 kPa) above the stuffing box pressure. See Figure 8.
Flowserve can supply information on barrier fluid flow
requirements based on seal size, product temperature, barrier
fluid characteristics, and shaft speed. For assistance, contact
