Safety instructions when using with a car

WARNING! Risk of injury and damage from exposed, rotating vehicle parts.
When working in the vehicle’s engine compartment, take care that hands, hair,
items of clothing and charger leads do not come into contact with moving parts,
e.g. fan belt, fan, etc.
Observe the instructions and safety information in the owner’s manual.

General

Connecting to
battery in car

Connect (+) charger lead/terminal to positive pole on battery
Connect (-) charger lead/terminal to negative pole on the battery, or to vehicle body
(away from the battery and fuel line, e.g. to the engine block) in the case of vehicle
power supplies.
Connect charger to the mains
The charger starts charging automatically

Disconnecting
from battery in
car

Press Start/Stop button
Disconnect (-) charger lead/terminal from battery or vehicle earth (ground)
Disconnect (+) charger lead/terminal from battery

Set the desired characteristic type by repeatedly pressing the Stop key (6)

According to the characteristic selected, the indicators will light up differently (see
section „characteristic parameters“ on the penultimate page of these instructions or, in
the case of special characteristics, in the enclosed leaflet ).

The newly selected characteristic is displayed (example illustrated 1010)

Charging the battery

Charge

NOTE! As the charging lines are not live (no sparking), you do not need to
disconnect the battery charger from the power supply when connecting it up
with the battery.

Plug in the mains plug (1)

Plug in the charging plug

-

“Charge” indicator(2) is lit up - battery is being charged

Final charge

-

“Final charge/Additional charge” indicator (3) is lit up.
Battery is 80 - 85 % full.
