TROUBLESHOOTING

53

Low capacity / pressure.

Shut-off valve in the
suction line (partly) closed.

Fully open the valve.

Under shimming of the
pressing shoes.

Consult the diagram (refer
to section 11.1.8).

Hose rupture or badly worn
hose.

Replace hose, refer to
section 7.5.

(Partial) blockage of the
suction line or too little
product on the suction
side.

Ensure that the suction line
is clear of blockages and
that sufficient product is
available.

Connections and hose
clamps not correctly
mounted, which makes the
pump suck air.

Tighten connections and
hose clamps.

The filling degree of the
pump hose is too low,
because the speed is too
high in relation to the
viscosity of the product to
be pumped and the inlet
pressure. The suction line
can be too long or too
narrow or a combination of
these factors.

Consult your Bredel
representative for a
recommendation.
