Step4 On the User information successfully collected dialog box, click Download to download the host
information file to your local host. After downloading the host information file, go to
http://www.h3c.com/portal/Technical_Support___Documents/Product_Licensing/ , input the related
information, and upload the host information file to get the iMC BIMS license. Then, follow the steps in
“ Registering iMC BIMS” to register iMC BIMS.
NOTE:
The host information file is saved in \iMC\client\license of the master server. The file name is hostid.txt.
When the master server is restarted, this file, however, is automatically deleted.
Registering iMC BIMS
After obtaining an iMC BIMS license, you can register iMC BIMS by clicking Register in the Login
window.
Step1 Click Register in the Login window. The Select the operation to perform dialog box appears, as shown
in
Figure 27 .
Step2 Type the password for admin, select Use the license file to register the product in the Select the operation
to perform drop-down list. Click Next. The Register Your Product dialog box appears, as shown in Figure
30 , asking you to select a license file.

Step3 After selecting the license file (a .txt file), select the license type, which can be Register/Activate host
license or Register/Activate back-up license, and click OK. The Registration succeeded dialog box
appears, as shown in Figure 31 . Click OK.

Step4 Restart the intelligent deployment monitoring agent, and then click Stop iMC BIMS in the Monitor tab to
stop the processes of the deployed components.
Step5 When all the processes of the deployed components are stopped, click Start iMC BIMS to start the
processes and validate the registered information.
