7.4.4 How to Connect a PC / Laptop to the KayakDD
First the following things are needed:

Laptop / PC
•
Hub / Switch
•
3 x Twisted Pair Network Cable (1:1)
Connect the KayakDD Panel, Frame and the PC / Laptop like as the following picture:

7.4.4.1 Network Properties Windows 2000/XP
Right click on “My Network Places”, choose Properties.
Configuration:
•
Right click on “Local Area Connection”, choose Properties.
•
Choose TCP/IP and click on Properties
•
Select “Use the following IP address”
•
Register a IP Address (192.168.0.xxx)
•
Register a Subnet Mask (255.255.255.0)
•
Click on OK
Identification:
•
Go to “Advanced / Network Identifications”
•
Choose Properties
•
Register a computer name
•
Register a workgroup
•
Click on OK.
